DIY Firework Blocks
Make a set of bangin' blocks! 🧨
Happy 4th of July! We are back with a bang! Follow along to make a craft that's dynamite!
Supplies Needed:
3 Wooden blocks
Wood Saw
Wire
Staple Gun
Staples
Red, White, and Blue Paint
Cricut or stickers
Step 1 - Cut your wooden blocks
We got lucky and found our wooden blocks as a set while we were thrifting! However, if you don't have a set of blocks you will have to cut a piece of wood into three different sizes. These are about 8/6/4 inches in height.
Step 2 - Add wire fuses
We found our blocks with wire already attached, but if you aren't as lucky you can just add your own wire. I recommend curling a piece of wire and adding it to the top of each block with a staple gun.
Step 3 - Paint your blocks
Now paint your blocks Red, White & Blue. We painted our tallest block blue, our medium-sized block red, and our smallest block white.
Step 4 - Design Time!
After your blocks dry, it's time to Cricut out your designs. If you don't have a Cricut you can use stickers for this part.
For the blue block, we cut out star stickers, for the red block, we cut out stripes, and for the white block, we cut out the letters USA.
After you cut out your designs transfer them onto the wooden blocks using transfer tape.
Step 5 - Display your Patriotic Blocks
BOOM! Now, it's time to display your new patriotic firework blocks! 💥
